In the early stages of the pandemic, we met with a team of churches and non-profits in the Falls Church area to talk about practical ways we could help people in our community. The biggest need that surfaced was for food and basic medical supplies for the working poor in the Culmore (and surrounding) area. As some families were laid off or furloughed from their jobs, times are tough and many families in our area could use some continued assistance.
Within 48 hours, our team stood up a process for making and distributing care boxes safely, and we have given more than 600 boxes to local families...
