Emily Lawyer, our small group coordinator, wrote a book describing the amazing small group process we use at The Surge. It describes how we engage scripture through silence and a God-Centered approach that leads us to a depth and selflessness which is incredibly fruitful. It was reviewed by the Exponential team and accepted as one of the national resources leading up to the Exponential conference - the largest church planting in the world!

E Reiss, our executive pastor, wrote 30 stories in support of the 2012 Exponential conference, in the theme of Sifted. The big idea is that suffering, in the hands of God, can lead us to redemptive impact and explosive growth in character. The book is a introduction to the idea of sifting, followed by the 30 creative meditations on biblical saints and heroes (written in the first person), exploring their stories of "sifting" and leading us to hope.
