Good Weekend Surgeons!
Hope you are doing great...
Today we're continuing our Shadows Series, with Hope in the Shadows - Dwaine will bring it - and you can take that to the bank.
After service, we're caroling at the Powhatan Nursing Home - our fearless carol leader, Greg Johnson will have things ready at 2:15 for a start time of 2:30, it's going to be a lot of fun, so don't miss it! We promise you a heart warming time of laughter, song and blessing as we minister to people in our community God loves dearly. We already have more than 20 people signed up to go, but it's not too late!
This coming Saturday is our End of the World Mayan Celebration and Christmas Party! Our third Saturday SAW concert will be featuring Karen Reiss on harp (with a flutist from the Marine Band as well), followed by our very own Non-Sequitur who have some very fun (and very loud) arrangements to Christmas music.
Potluck Dinner at 6pm (see Tracie Moulton for details)
Karen on Harp at 7:30
Non-Sequitur at 8:30
Mayans at 10pm
Next week we'll be continuing Shadow series, with a message on Shadows Give Way...
Thanks and see you soon!
At The Surge we love doing things together... that includes writing a blog! Here are a few of our main contributing authors:
Our fearless leader, Dwaine is the lead pastor at The Surge. His experience in counter terrorism with the CIA prepared him for ministry and he likes dogs and babies even more than E does.
E (short for Eric Reiss) is the Wingman at The Surge and likes dogs, music, Mexican food, his wife Karen and his little girl Evangeline... not necessarily in that order.
