The Surge Announcements, Feb 7th, 2016

We are continuing our second installment of a SOTM (Sermon the Mount) message series... SOTM Revisited and it's going to be great. Remember, we're not the band, the whole room is the band, so turn it up to 11!

God doesn't need your money, turns out that He is loaded with cash already. But He blesses folks with a generous heart. 

It's Imperialistic Land Acquisition Sports Day! Watch as your favorite teams try to take land away from the other teams in a fit of Manifest Destiny!

In all seriousness though, we like to pick the winner of a sporting event based on mascot.  Today, that is the Carolina Giant Hungry Cats vs. the Denver Shetland Ponies. So in the wild, which one would really win?  In this case, the panthers would wait for the broncos to come out of the tunnel... they would pick off one of the weaker, older ones - and eat him.  So I'm going with the panthers!

Today we have Superbowl Parties happening! At E's house and Joni's place... starting at 5:30.  Bring your favorite super bowl snack and drinks and we'll see you there!

Also, we will be running our movie series in Feb as a run-up to the Oscars. Avengers, Selma and Inside Out will be watched and commented on by our team of trained movie goers.
