Good weekend everyone! We are continuing our SOTM message series…
Special music will be Bless this Mess, by David Bazan, for your listening enjoyment.
Please stay and join us for lunch after the service this weekend!
Small groups are the lifeblood of the Surge, prayer, study, relationships and food happen every week across northern VA with folks, so if you haven't plugged in, do so this week - you won't regret it.
We just want to say THANK YOU for being a part of The Surge, God has amazing things in store here and you don’t want to miss it.
The Adventures of Milo and Otis was the number one Japanese film on the domestic market in 1986, earning ¥5.4 billion in distribution income. At the time, it was the third highest grossing film ever in Japan, beaten only by E.T.: The Extra-Terrestria (1982) and Antarctica (1983).
The Holidays are a great opportunity for generosity and there are several ways to give or plug in as a blessing to our local community.
- Consider helping with the Panera Bread pickup / distribution! Every week we pick up leftover bread from Panera and deliver it to homeless shelters and food pantries where it is used as a blessing for families in need. Contact E, if you would like to help with this ongoing initiative!
- Our Daily Bread has signups for blessing families in need... odbfairfax.org. Or check facebook or the weekly newsletter. They are doing amazing work and the holidays are always a time of need and opportunity for kindness.
- Support NOVA HTI (Human Trafficking Initiative), this group is doing amazing work with local vicims, helping them transition out of abusive situations into a new chapter of dignity and hope. They stock a backpack with needed items in that first 48 hour period, the amazon wish list is online, again on the surge’s facebook or weekly email: You could purchase these and get them to Joni or Dwaine, or buy an amazon gift card and forward it on!
Continuning Counter-Intelligence next week, travel safe and we'll see you soon!
